Asia Pacific's Best Tech Companies Recognised
Singapore and Malaysian companies clinch prestigious titles at the 2009 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Industrial Technologies Awards
Frost & Sullivan hosted the annual Asia Pacific Industrial Technologies Awards banquet in Singapore on 21 August. This is the the fourth consecutive year the awards recognises best practices in Industrial Process Control, Electronics & Security, Energy & Power Systems, Chemical, Materials and Food, Measurement & Instrumentation and Environment & Building Technologies industries.
Thirty-three titles were conferred to the deserving organisations at a gala-evening at Hotel Intercontinental, attended by 150 senior business executives from the industrial technologies industries. The best practices and outstanding industry performance by these recipients prove that economic climate is not a deterrent to operational success of top players. SHTA is one of the supporting organisations for the awards and Sunny Chin, SHTA President was there to award the Pacific Technology Innovator of the Year, Handheld Projection Technologies award to Digislide Holdings.

Reinstating this point, Mr. Sanjay Singh, vice president for Industrial Technologies at Frost & Sullivan commented, “We believe that organizations that have successfully navigated the past 12 to 18 months and have shown exemplary performance in growth, expansion and customer acquisition need to be recognized so as to inspire and positively influence all their stakeholders and customers. This is precisely what the Industrial Technology Awards aim to do.”
Joining the array of prominent recipients, this year are home-grown operations iWOW Connections Pte Ltd and Pixelmetrix Corporation from Singapore and BioNet International Sdn Bhd and Amshore from Malaysia. The ident-ification of these local organisations reflects the escalating global competitive standards of Asia Pacific corporations.
iWOW Connections specializes in wireless communications solutions in GSM, GPRS, EDGE and 3G technologies was selected as the recipient of the 2009 Industrial Wireless Emerging Company of the Year award. Pixelmetrix, the Singapore based global expert in Preventive Monitoring for digital television and IPTV networks was honoured with the 2009 Communications Test & Measurement Emerging Company of the Year.
Along with these local successes Malaysian start-up, BioNet International too was celebrated at the banquet. The company which focuses in the field of biotechnology particularly in the area of biosensor has been recognized as the 2009 Emerging Sensor Company of the Year while Amshore a well-known manufacturer and distributor of bottled pure drinking water for many private brands clinched the 2009 Bottled Water Company of the Year award.
The awards identify and credit best practices in the industry segments and are in-tuned with Frost & Sullivan’s in-depth analysis and coverage of these industries. In keeping with the company’s commitment to excellence and innovation, the Awards offered are carefully reviewed and evaluated to reflect the current market landscape inclusive of the emerging technology trends.
